Bed Plates

The low friction and hard wearing properties of CORROTHENE make it ideally suitable for bed plates. It is used extensively for carrying conveyor belts and chains as well as transmission belts and chains. In applications where heavy loads are carried. CORROMIDE COF may be more suitable.

Captive Wear Bends

Captive wear bends can be manufactured from CORROTHENE or CORROMIDE depending on the application. CORROTHENE is used in most applications where captive wear bends are not likely to be subject to high temperatures. CORROTHENE is impervious to moisture (in fact water can act as a lubricant) which makes it ideally suited to applications in damp and wet conditions, it can be used safely in direct contact with food, it has an extremely low coefficient of friction whilst retaining excellent wear resistant properties. In all, CORROTHENE is the ideal material for captive wear bends in all industries.

Chain Wear Strips

CORROTHENE UHMW Polyethylene chain wear strips offer both low friction and hard wearing properties, are capable of working at very low temperatures, they do not absorb moisture and can be used in direct contact with food.. We can supply chain wear strips machined to customers own design, in 2, 3 and 4 metre lengths on a quick turn around basis. Where larger quantities of chain wear strip are required, it is often more economical for us to extrude these in house where we have our own toolmaking facility. CORROMIDE COF and CORROMIDE CMF are often used as alternative materials for chain wear strips where the application is particularly arduous or extremely heavy weights are involved.

Scrolls

Often referred to as Feedworms or Timing Screws, invariably manufactured from CORROTHENE because of its low friction hard wearing non-absorbent properties. They can be supplied in various colours for identification. In arduous applications where there is a likelihood of damage from broken glass CORROMIDE is often used. We have developed a special grade CORROMIDE CSM for this application. This material is self lubricating and is available in various colours.

Starwheels

The low friction and hard wearing properties of CORROTHENE make it an ideal material for starwheels. We carry large stocks of various coloured materials often required for colour coding starwheels to suit different bottle sizes. CORROMIDE is occationally used for starwheels where there is high occurance of bottle breakage. This material has a high resistance to cutting up by the sharp edges on the broken glass.
